Waste bin service

Rolling service

The waste containers must be placed at the edge of the public traffic area from 6:00 a.m. on the day of emptying. This is not always feasible. We can take on this task for you if you have a corresponding contractual agreement. The bins are collected from the property, emptied and returned on the day of emptying in accordance with the agreed frequency. If you are interested, please contact our sales department.

Cleaning and maintenance

1.100 l bins for residual and Biowaste containers, which are the property of the KSJ, are thoroughly cleaned and maintained once a year. If the bins on your doorstep have disappeared for a short time, it is probably washing day at the municipal service.

For 60, 120 and 240 l bins , we offer a chargeable cleaning service to prevent and eliminate bacterial/germ contamination and mold. You can reach us by telephone on: (03641) 4989-515

• Cleaning of waste garbage cans (inside and outside);
• Removing stickers (damaged, out-of-date) or attaching new or missing stickers;
• Functional test of waste garbage can;
• Cleaning and functional check is registered on the waste garbage can (sticker).

• Transportation
• any emptying that may be necessary

Repair and spare parts

* For the execution of repair services (including interior and exterior cleaning)

• 10,- EUR for a waste container up to 240 l or
• 80,- EUR for a waste container over 240 l and up to 1.100 l,

in this case, the waste container will not be repaired.

• Waste containers that cannot be repaired will be disposed of. The costs for disposal shall be borne by the client
• The classification of waste containers as repairable or non-repairable is the responsibility of Kommunalservice Jena
• Repair and functional testing is registered on the waste container (sticker)
• The repair costs are documented (e.g. repair time, replacement part)

KSJ locking system for bin enclosures

Waste garbage cans are often located in freely accessible places. This poses the risk of unauthorized filling or vandalism. Enclosures are used for the secure storage and provision of waste and recycling bins. With the installation of a 'KSJ lock' next to the house lock - the cylinder length is decisive - only authorized persons have access to the enclosure and smooth disposal can take place. Waste garbage can lock (rental)

Many property owners install enclosures for waste garbage cans to prevent unauthorized filling. This is not possible on every property. We offer the option of locking 1,100 l waste garbage cans with a lock. Access to the waste container is only possible for those authorized to lock it.
